You will explore the MARCH assessment approach, which stands for Massive hemorrhage, Airway, Respirations, Circulation, and Head injury/Hypothermia. Throughout these chapters, we will also cover critical life-saving techniques such as Bleeding Control, Pressure Bandages, Hemostatic Gauze application, and Tourniquet techniques. You will develop hands-on skills that establish confidence when managing severe bleeding and other traumatic injuries.
Additionally, we will introduce you to Narcan administration, a key intervention for opioid overdoses, ensuring that you are prepared to save lives in various emergency scenarios. Finally, we will discuss Recovery techniques, offering insights into the importance of psychological support for both victims and responders during and after a traumatic event.
